Green Smoothie Bowl

I love the taste of green smoothies, but every Green-Smoothie-Day I ever attempted failed due to the lack of actual eating going on. Drinking your food is somehow unsatisfying so I always ended up eating something and then adding a green smoothie so I ate approximately double of what I already munch down on a regular day. Pointless. Alright then. Embarrassingly simple solution: just don’t add water and serve with a spoon. Thicken with chia seeds and/or a bit of protein powder, and off you go. Proper food.

for two:

2 handfuls spinach, 3/4 apple, 1/2 avocado, 2 heaped tsp hemp protein powder, just enough coconut water to make it thick and soupy. Serve with toppings, if you’re feeling fancy.
